The team has been working ceaselessly for the last 6 months rolling out an operational launch plan involving the brands at every stage.

That is why we are currently concentrating on recruitment – nearly 350 jobs have to be filled. Priority goes to those candidates who have undergone (or who are still undergoing) the training programme funded by the local council [Conseil Général]. The training sessions include the basics of retailing, but also tourism, languages (English and Spanish) and of course practical aspects of the Outlet trade. We are also in direct contact with the Employment and Training Support Centre in Nailloux, and we forward all the brands' recruitment requests to them. Lastly, applications made through the Nailloux Fashion Village® website are stored in a 'CV library' that can be consulted by the recruitment managers (HR or Regional Managers) at the Outlet Village. To take this even further, we are planning a Job Fair on site in September.

The target of 1.7 million visitors in the first year is ambitious. How are you planning to meet it?

« 50% of the visitors coming to the village will come from the natural catchment area that stretches up to 90 minutes from Toulouse and represents 2.4 million inhabitants.
We are also capitalizing on our exceptional geographical location and the ease of access – two key advantages to attract the tourists and tour operators that will make up the other half of our customers. We have already scheduled 700 coaches for 2012 – they are delighted with the services and the special welcome we can provide them with.
The programme of special retail, cultural and sports events, together with an attractive commercial proposition and famous brands are really strong advantages.
Our communication and marketing plan is ready, and every day we fine-tune it still further to make Nailloux Fashion Village® a key destination for Shopping Tourism combining pleasure, relaxation and an outing with the family or among friends.

« Assistance for the brands coming to Nailloux Fashion Village® falls into three main areas.
First of all we provide technical expertise – checking plans, and help to ensure that the store concepts comply with the legislation in force (Construction Code).
Then we provide administrative support – all notices (safety, accessibility, work completion) are entered into the IT system and completed so as to standardize construction work declarations. There are many advantages for the brand: saving money and time (reducing reprints of plans, no recorded delivery letters, etc.), we monitor Town Hall applications and act as an interface with the administrative authorities (Labour Inspectorate, Town Hall, Committees, etc.).
Lastly, we work on logistics – sourcing local suppliers, acting as a relay with the builders to adapt the basic configuration of an off-plan unit to the requirements of the brand concept. We even negotiate framework agreements, obtaining prices that are considerably lower than market averages (inspection consultants around 15% cheaper, advertising materials around 30% cheaper).
